Explore this magical Japanese shibori and indigo dyeing technique with local expert and talented artist, Kim Poler from Beehive Art. We’ll explore the possibilities of dip-dyeing in the indigo vat with a focus on creating patterns using folds and clamps.
Bring a few white items from home to dye - tee shirt, blouse, pants, dinner napkins, tablecloth, pillow case. This is a great opportunity to grab some old pieces from your closet and create something new! 100% cotton or linen work best. A pair of cotton towels are provided to every registrant to dye.
Make sure to bring a pair of rubber gloves, an apron and wear clothes that you don’t mind getting some splashes of blue on!
