Farm Tours + Field Trips
Here at Codman, we love being able to share how we do things a little differently. We are passionate about our innovative land stewardship practices and care deeply about producing the highest quality food. The farm looks different during every season! During the warm months, our livestock are rotationally grazed through pastures throughout the town of Lincoln, while most of our animals are back in our “homebase” barnyard for the colder part of the year. We are happy to meet with folks at any time of year, but especially love getting to show off our lush pastures when they are green. Tours and field trips are a chance to get up close with our livestock and meet the farmers. Grab your boots and get ready to see how we farm!
Our experienced farm staff are available for private tours, classroom visits or all ages, university students, and corporate groups interested in learning about our methods. We have created personalized experiences for just one person up to groups of more than 50 people.
A few examples of personalized visits in the past have included:
Renewable energy and carbon footprint on the farm
Product labeling and egg production at Codman vs. Conventional farming
Codman as an outdoor classroom for STEM subjects, grades k-12
Combined group tours and volunteer experiences
Curriculum connections and hands-on programming may be available as well upon request. Please fill out the form below and we will be in touch!
Additionally, we offer public tours through our classes and events page at different times throughout the year. Please check out our upcoming classes for more information!
