Our new veggie adventure!
In 2021 we expanded our vegetable growing operation and installed a low-tillage market garden. This permanent garden bed system reduces weed pressure and builds soil fertility more quickly than comparable row crop systems. During the growing season, we have a wide variety of our own produce for our farm store, including tasty greens like bok choy, kale, chard, lettuce, spinach, and arugula…as well as lots of summer favorites including eggplant, heirloom, and cherry tomatoes, squash, peppers, and more.
We use no synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers on the property and use compost to fertilize our beds that is made right here on the property from our animal bedding and organic waste.
When our produce is in short supply, we happily partner with other local farms and purchase organic produce to keep our shelves bountiful.
