Story

Founded in 1973 by citizens interested in continuing the farming tradition of Lincoln, CCF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit agricultural enterprise. Our mission is to operate a working farm that preserves Lincoln’s rural character, while highlighting the importance of local farming and local food and inviting community involvement through educational opportunities and events.

Over its 50 years, our farm programs and community activities have gradually evolved and grown from a seasonal initiative to a year-round production farm that now raises 100% grass-fed Red Devon cattle, pasture-raised livestock including pigs, laying hens, meat chickens, turkeys, and lambs as well as a growing vegetable, fruit and flower market garden.

We are passionate about preserving the historic property and maintaining its character as a genuine working farm.  The main farm property sits on 18 acres in the center of Lincoln, and comprises barns dating to the 1700s as well as outbuildings, farm housing, community garden plots, and an orchard, market garden, greenhouses, and pastures. We farm an additional 150 acres of fields and pastures located throughout the town of Lincoln and at Minuteman National Historical Park in Concord.
