We grow good food here at Codman, through regenerative farming methods that build diverse ecosystems and healthy soil. Our Store is stocked with our own proteins and produce, and we are proud to offer delicious prepared foods and meals from our own Kitchen. We also support other like-minded local farms and food entrepreneurs in our region by offering a curated selection of items from Local Partners alongside Codman-grown food.

At the core of our Store are Codman-raised meat, eggs, produce and flowers, grown right here in Lincoln. Our herd of Red Devon cattle and our goats are 100% grass-fed. Codman’s pigs and hens, chickens and turkeys are fed only certified organic and non-GMO grains. We rotationally graze our livestock through open pastures during the warmer months when the grass is in abundance, increasing and returning fertility to these open fields in Lincoln. We do not use synthetic fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides that contribute to greenhouse gases and chemical runoff harming wildlife and bees.

Our farm Kitchen focuses on marrying Codman-grown products with the best local and sustainable foods we source for our Store. Our prepared foods are healthy, clean, and delicious, showcasing simple ingredients, herbs and spices, with allergens clearly listed. Our kitchen eliminates nearly all food waste by converting excess produce and under-utilized proteins into delicious fare. Any compostable items produced in our kitchen are fed to our pigs or composted in our large compost piles, which are then used to fertilize our Market Garden and fields.
