Turkeys

We grow our pasture-raised turkeys outdoors right here in Lincoln. We primarily grow broad-breasted turkeys which are known for their excellent balance of white to dark meat and come to us as baby poults from Bob’s Turkey farm in Lancaster, Mass.

Our turkeys free-range and live outdoors until late October alongside a Livestock Guardian Dog which keeps them safe from predators. We harvest our turkeys by October and they are kept frozen in our freezers until Thanksgiving. Growing birds as we do outdoors can be tricky when the weather gets cold in November, so we harvest them a bit earlier to ensure they have a good quality of life.
